I am a former Degewo tenant and a victim of grossly negligent behaviour by, among others Frank Bielka were caused. Bielka deliberately gave us tenants the Asbestos danger in our flats; in 2000, as State Secretary and Degewo Supervisory Board member, he saw no need to inform tenants about the asbestos hazard. That is good documented. This dangerous and grossly negligent decision was criticised by the Berlin Regional Court in 2018. Unfortunately far too late for many.
I renovated an asbestos flat in 2012 with the permission of Degewo, milled out asbestos glue without any protective measures and inhaled a dangerous dose of asbestos fibres. Now I have to live with this potential danger. The worst thing is that the Degewo in Berlin takes no responsibility for the financial, psychological and health damage and uses star lawyers (at the expense of Degewo tenants) to shift the blame onto tenants. The anger of many asbestos tenants is very great.
I would ask you to refrain from offering such personalities a stage in the Memorial Church in future.
Jesus chases the merchants out of the temple (Matthew 21:12-13; Mark 11:15-17; Luke 19:45-46)
Shortly before the Jewish Passover, Jesus travelled to Jerusalem. There he saw many merchants in the forecourt of the temple selling cattle, sheep and doves as sacrificial animals. Money changers were also sitting behind their tables. Jesus made a whip out of ropes and chased the merchants out of the temple area with all their sheep and cattle[a]. He threw the money of the changers on the ground and overturned their tables. He ordered the dove merchants: "Get all this out! My father's house is not a market hall!
