Dear Dr Arne Papst
The reason why I am contacting you publicly via my website is, on the one hand, because on your website www.vorsorgedoktor.at and have no e-mail address anywhere else on the Internet where you can be contacted and, secondly, because there are certainly other people who are struggling with situations similar to mine.
Dr Arne Papst, please help me
A few weeks ago, I went to see you on the recommendation of a friend because wearing a face mask (no matter which one) was a problem for me. horrific asbestos experience is a particular burden for me and I was hoping that you, as a doctor, would help me to free myself from the mask. Isn't it true, Dr Arne Papst, that a doctor should have an open ear for the other person? Isn't it the case, Dr Arne Papst, that a doctor wants to alleviate the suffering of his patient?
After you made it clear to me that you only had a few minutes, I handed you my psychological report. You read it (one A4 page) and said: "something is wrong here" "something is strange here". You looked at the report with suspicion and read the name of the generally sworn and court-certified expert for psychotherapy and said: "I don't believe this".
I was speechless but I had to say something, time was running out. I said "What exactly don't you believe?" "Do you think the psychological report is fake?". They didn't want to answer that.
"German television reported on my case," I said desperately, but you showed no interest. You had already made your judgement. I felt sick. The asbestos accident and the traumatic experience that still haunts me was practically presented by you (without even trying to verify "the story") as something that never happened.
I haven't seen so much mistrust and lack of empathy in a long time. I expected even less from a doctor who has sworn an oath to help other people to the best of his knowledge and belief. But how can you help other people to the best of your knowledge and belief if you treat other people (whether known or unknown) with mistrust?
I couldn't believe what had just happened and I couldn't stay on your premises a moment longer, the air under my mask was getting tight and I quickly left your practice.
Dr Arne Papst, I am stunned
In 2012, I renovated an asbestos flat in Berlin without realising it. The landlord (degewo) did not warn me about the Asbestos danger and authorised the renovation. When the floor was milled, millions of asbestos fibres were released (according to the expert opinion). My wife and I breathed in the asbestos fibres (without a mask). In 2018, I found out by chance that the flat was contaminated with asbestos.
The psychological report ends with the following sentence: "From a psychotherapeutic point of view, immediate exemption from wearing a face mask is recommended."
Dr Arne Papst, I contacted you and you refused to give me medical help. Worse still, you accused me of being untruthful and possibly hid your own fears and hardships with this topic behind your omission of medical help. Where will we end up when there are no more doctors to provide assistance?
